yeah king, I understand where you were coming from. I haven't single ski'd in over 15 years, but I could pop right up. My dad, however, would look like a broken sprinkler for about 30 seconds until finally his head would pop up and you could see him take his first breath... lol. that was behind a 1980 21' hallet with a small block.

I did not plan on buying new until axis came out. I looked at other price point boats but did not like what I saw, so I felt I was stuck with buying a 3-4 year old used boat. Then Axis came out with the A22, had everything I wanted plus nothing I did not want or need. I am super excited knowing that this boat will be the boat my son and future daughter (less than a week away) will learn how to ski and wakeboard behind.... good times.

Alright, had to swing by my dealer today. Didn't have much time, but he had a couple of 2012's in stock. Biggest change is the hull graphics. I dig it. Sorry for the picture quality, but I didn't have time, and just got these with my cell phone.

The new graphic looks REALLY cool on the black boat. Blacks it out, gives it a look kind of like ghost flames on a hot rod. Note that the A is hollow, but raised, and the XIS letters are filled, but just flush. Wonder how it would look if I changed out mine?

I'm wondering how that sub will sound. Nice to see the wetsounds as an option though! The graphics are much better quality. They're the gel-raised type. Several of mine (2011) started peeling back, so I stripped her naked, except for the A20 on the bow. Lookin good!

Seeing more and more of the metal flake paint jobs on the boats for 2012.

One thing I'd love to see is a new drivers seat. Open back, a little taller, and some of the side taken out. That's probably the one beef I have. I'm 5' 10" and like to ride looking over the front window. Ladies don't like it either. Bolster looses its padding midway through the day and end up throwing a towel over it. It's comfy and fits, but just a little refinement.

Don't think this would add to the overall cost at all.

I have yet to see the new 2012s, just their pictures. I have noticed a few things that haven't been pointed out yet, i think;

1. The front cushion in between the 2 bow speakers in the 2012 is bigger, no more half cushion with the billet axis sign. I like the old one better imo.
2. The passenger side storage door under the dash opens upwards now. Interesting to see if it functions better, I assume so. I don't like that you can see the hinge on the top when its closed. I do like that you will be able to open it and its swing radius is shortened. On my 2011 the door opens to the right, forces me to open it all the way to switch the battery selector or accessing anything in that space. Also, when the chillax seat backs are up (always in my boat) the door doesn't open all the way unless you want to put alot of stress on the chilax seat.
3. The rear pop up cleats: I see on the A20 that the cleat is further forward and a couple inches higher above the rub rail. On the A22, I see that it is in the 2011 position, low along the rub rail and further back. I think the A22 has a poor location, the very reason I did not order mine with the pop ups. Someone with a 2011 A20 chime in, where are your rear pop ups?

that is all I noticed, besides all the other things previously posted.
