R33 you might wanna slide under your trailer and start looking noise is what started my looking originally. Also look in the under seat storage behind the driver seat, see if the stringer is popped up any that you can see. I didn't think about it but my local dealer was putting zipties between the stringer and hull to show malibu it had popped free.

Huh... Let's see.... You pay dealer, dealer pays most of it to builder and then keeps rest. Dealer makes a profit. Dealer laughs in your face when asked about a loaner.

Seems like a very similar situation as dealt with auto manufacturer with a recall. You get a loaner.

You have SERIOUS legal recourse if they (either dealer or Malibu) doesn't pony up a loaner boat that is comparable to what you have.

I'm not sure that you understand exactly how it works.

Take all of your information along with your owners manual to a lawyer and see what he says about that legal recourse.

Has anyone had a stringer pop, but had no signs of stress cracks on the hull?

The last time I took my boat out, I heard some really nasty sounds when driving over bumps and rollers at wakeboarding speed, but nothing at wake surfing speed.

The all sounded like they were coming from underneath the driver area.

I thought for sure a stringer popped loose, but I don't see any cracks in the hull or hear anything unusual when knocking around on the bottom.

With no cracks most people don't check, try to slide a zip tie between the stringer and hull front to back is what malibu had my dealer do to show it delaminated

I pulled up my carpet for cleaning and found a bunch of cracks on the center floor which is screwed down. Will have my dealer take a look. I didn't find anything under driver area or around the stringers, though. I almost think they just torqued this floor down too tight or something.

How are you all checking your stringer? How do you get access to it?
