I agree. If you have wind or just boat in a large open lake you need a box anchor. I use mine daily. I also anchor with 2 anchors sometimes...box anchor to hold the boat and a small mushroom type anchor to keep from swaying side to side if there are boats close to me or i want stay absolutely still.

im really tempted to get the baby one, there isn't really a current probably more wind the anything. but i know little about winds and couldnt tell you wind speeds if it knocked me over

my friends says average wind speeds on our lake are no more then 10 mph unless a storm is coming but then that wouldn't matter cause im running or getting off

Box anchors work great on sandy and muddy bottoms. Also works good if you are able to catch a rock, but a little harder to bring up. In wind speeds up to 15-20 mph the small box anchor works great. I know it is big and takes up some room, but you will never have to worry about buying another anchor again.
