yep...they are using our boat...we store it really close to their shop. They are taking our factory platform in teh next few days to start working on it for modifications. Then they can use the platform to make a mold for the others. I gave them some insight into what we find is the issue with the platform when surfing, but if anyone else has pictures to add or details let me know and I can pass them along. Excited to see what it turns out like.

Just a thought but, since the Axis already has that seat on the transom that is covered with Seadek, it would be nice if they could use Seadek to cover the custom platform so it matches or maybe be an option. It's not a big deal but it's just a suggestion.

As long as its not the same adhesive used on the 2011 & prior pads! Everyone of those that I have seen has had issues coming up & thats the reason the factory went another direction on the 2012 models.

I only have 117 hours on my 2011 but haven't had a single issue with the Seadek

no problem....it is in storage right now anyway, and all they needed was the platform...it helps us too as we get an improved platform without having to buy a new one. Win/Win.

I am going to send the link to this thread to the shop so they can view the suggestions..keep them coming.

That is cool, but its more Mastercraft style than AXIS. Id rather not get pulled over some night for forgetting turn off the red lights. Its rare that I drive at night, but its usually to avoid driving a car (not that driving a bwi is legally any better, or more responsible)... I'm just pointing out that red light is a good reason to be pulled over.

The lights in that platform won't shine to where they are obnoxiously bright. I don't see someone getting pulled over for LED lit platform that is no brighter than the LEDs in the boat. According to the manager at the Malibu plant in our booth 2 weeks ago says the MXZ plates on the side of the boat will be illuminated soon.

You can get pulled over having platform lights lit while underway? I see so many that have surf pics with them lit up.
Not to get off topic- but I'd love to do leds. Cheap upgrade, but I rarely go out at night.
As far as the platform goes, I'd like the overall shape to NOT be oval. Wouldn't fit the lines of the Axis.
