Never thought about that, but certainly true here. Our lake is 1,000 coves and many coves that I ski several MC owners told me thay cant. I always figured it was my 'excellent' driving skill or 'superior' confidence, but likely its the boat! Thinking back to the xstar test drive, I wouldn't take it at 22mph into some of these coves either.

I can backup AJs statement. I came from a 2007 Supra. Spray like crazy when underway with a little chop and wind. Couldn't stand the fact that the bow sloped down. Looked cool in the water, but when boats came by throwing wake if I was idle I had to power over their wake. If people weren't ready (sitting down,etc)- I frequently took water over bow.
Same thing when slowing down with 3 sitting in bow area. Just another thing I don't have to worry about in the Axis with 2x the ballast weight.

More than happy with my choice and the wake/handling you get with Axis.

Does anymore of the forked front end touch the water? Unfortunately I have never even SEEN one on the water!
The front end does look incredibly sweet, maybe I just like it because it is different.

How much weight do you guys typically add to the Axis when wakeboarding?

4,100 lbs ballast huh? That's incredible! I guess these boats do not have the 1,200lb weight limit my I/O has huh? Never thought about that, I guess the way they are designed they hold much more.

I forget what the NEMA approval rating but probably not 4100lb, but definitely capable. I only have the 350hp, but its even more so with the larger motor or a shorter prop.
