There's a reason why you see quite a few Axis tower mirrors for sale from time to time. I've never desired the tower mirror on either of my Axis. Standard one does just fine and can be folded from the cover or towing to minimize bugs.

No complaints on my tower mirror but I never put the tower down.

I had the tower mirror mount on my 15 A22, but I have a custom cover for my tower that didn't work out too well with it, so I went with the PTM 140 mirror mounted to the windshield and couldn't be happier with it. No drilling required either.

I still have my tower mount that I might be willing to sell. PM me if interested

Thanks for all the input. I like the tower mount but as mentioned above I also have to drop the tower to put in my garage and if the tower mount adds extra height that won't work for me so I think I'll go with a folding mirror mount that clamps on.

I have the same predicament. I really prefer the look of the tower mount mirror but I also have to drop my tower regularly to get my A20 in my garage. I'm not concerned with the weight (which is already considerable with a pair of Rev8s), for me it's more about the allen head screws that would need to be loosened and tightened each time, plus the wear/tear on the tower itself due to the arm rotating on it. If there was some sort of latch clamp available for the arm that would be ideal but unfortunately I'm going to have to go with the windshield mount.

So I just got my new A20 and I was told the mirror it came with would need to be screwed into the boat or I'd need to buy some sort of aftermarket mount or arm. Being as this is my first real boat, any suggestions out there? Anyone selling anything or know a good place to buy? Thanks

I have a A-22 2015 and I have both types - Tower and Factory Mirrors on the Port Side Window - I got the mirror delivered to my house (Dealer is just to far away for a mirror install) - I had to drill 4-holes, Mechanic told me screw size to get and drill bit size to use, it was easy project - Just take your time, I love having both mirrors on board, my boat stays in the boat house 95% of the time,,,,
