another thread on this? Man it sucks but first off why would you have left a dealership that is going out of business without a title / bill of sale? Who drops 100K and does get a receipt? hell my wife gets one when she buys a 99 cent coffee...

As far as warranty work goes you should have known that the dealership was closing or no longer selling AXIS and would no longer support you but there are other dealers that will so no sweat!

As far as your bimini top is concerned this is a great opportunity for you to start a relationship with a better dealer.. pay them the few hundred bucks to make it right its pocket change compared to the 100K+ you dropped to buy 2 boats and now you will have a dealer to take care of you.

Sounds like you got a good deal at the expense of a headache so hopefully the deal was good enough to justify it.

Regardless, you should have got what you paid for it does not matter if Boatworks is now a dealer or not.

You are assuming the contract was not "as is"..

Have you gone to the guys over at JC sports in Seneca? They are the axis dealer for Keowee and have been nothing but helpful every time I've been in.

twowakes he is still doing warranty work for axis, i just picked my boat up last friday from dusty he did my tsb and replaced 2 things under warranty through malibu. and there are a few 2016 boats on the showroom floor their covered up now with no build sheets attatched but they were shipped there as when i dropped my boat off the towers were still wrapped up and folded down etc. I didnt even ask about him being a dealer still or not as I honestly dont care but he did my warranty work and tsb no questions asked and billed it to Malibu. But hopefully he sends the op his missing parts etc. And I did not buy my boat from dusty or patty but he still has done multiple warranty repairs over the last year for me.

It looks like maybe I wasn't misinformed as twowakes suggest, if Malibu says they are in business and there are new 2016's on the floor, chances are they re still in business, however I know a sure way to GO OUT OF BUSINESS ! tell everyone your out of business.

And to the other comments:

I didn't leave the dealer without a title , I did leave without the Bill of Sale because I was in a hurry and was told it would be emailed, and since I am a trusting person and man of my word I thought this would be an easy task for a dealer to perform ( and as stated I did eventually get the bill of sale).

I did not purchase the boats " AS-IS" , I bought new boats with a full warranty.

I will and can afford a few hundred bucks to have the items installed, that wasn't the issue.

And personally I could care less whether they are out of business or stay in business. However that does not change my experience or opinion regarding customer service or selling practices. The way I see it your either out of Axis Boat Sales business or in Axis Boat Sales business, kind of like being pregnant , you are or your not,not many choices between.

In closing I love my boat, just need to get a few issues resolved and go boating.......

Might want to see if an admin will change the title. To a casual observer they might view it as someone reporting an issue with new Axis boats when this is actually an issue with a dealer.

Keowee I get that your frustrated but sometimes you have to cut your losses... You are close to other dealerships (within hours) that will gladly handle your issues. I bought my boat in South Dakota and tommys here in Denver will take care of me as well as budkee marine in north platte Nebraska (where the boat is all summer)

If the dealer you bought is acting like this, I wouldn't want him to do any work on my boat anyways
