2016A22inCO, I saw your boat at the shop last week. Very nice. The guys have a ton of boats down here this month.

I'm curious about your lake too. I've been wanting to buy property in Colorado but I want to be close to a good lake.

6wakesurfers... From my experience there isn't anything too great in my home state... I'm lucky enough to have a place just over the border in western Nebraska... Here in the 303 waters cold and lakes are not as abundant as we'd like... So atleast in and around Denver it's overcrowded and not the greatest place in the world for boating... Just my opinion about lakes here

Having worked the oil patch in Colorado, Wyoming, and the railroad in Nebraska, S Dakota, and Wyoming there's just no really good lakes in those 3 states. Some puddle around Denver, the 2 big lakes in Wyoming are usually wind blown, and the one small/medium sized lake in western Nebraska is featureless as far as scenery. You guys are definitely dedicated boaters to tow so far to get to a reasonable sized lake. However, you got to take what you can get in that part of the country am I'm envious of the mountains in Colorado.

@nickscho you are not the European that bought the new A24 Vandall at the show are you? If so we need to chat??

@6wakesurfers thanks for the note on the boat. Im anxious to get it. We bought a membership at Standley Lake in Westminster(suburb of Denver). As pointed out by others the one thing CO lacks is good water and this lake is the best bet for anything in Denver. It is one of 3 decent sized res out here and the one that is private. I mean by that they sell a limited amount of passes for around $850/yr to play on it. While it sucks to have to pay for good water at least in doing so I am assured limited traffic and its 15min from my house. Not without its issues but I appreciate the ability to go play when I want to. Along these lines I am in real estate so if you are serious about anything in CO let's chat - I would love to help in any way I can!

Maybe I'll keep my hose in Florida and focus on the mountains as my adventure escape. looking at TN and NC too but don't like the snow conditions as much as CO. Hoping to lock in on something in the next few years.

It's all good! Have fun with the new boat! Remember to stay in the deep water to keep the wave big.

@2016A22inCo im not... Bought mine out of state as I just didn't want to spend the prices tommys had at the time of my purchase (nov 2015)

@AJwest i would disagree a bit about lakes in western NE and also Wyoming... Couple Great Lakes that i grew up on are fantastic and beautiful... In Wyoming, Glendo reservoir is incredible and a great large lake... In NE we are currently on Jeffrey lake which is a smaller lake about twenty minutes east of north platte... It's gorgeous with rolling sand hills and a great community of axis owners (atleast 5 axis on a 100 cabin lake)... Colorado on the other hand doesn't have much unless you want to go private or have another avenue... Cherry creek and chatfield are the two largest and most popular/crowded in metro Denver but they are so busy it's not even worth trying to get on the water...

And I tow twice a year... Early May to take up to the lake... And October to bring it home to winterize... It's on the lift all summer long... Makes it a lot easier to go somewhere for the weekend knowing I've got a great place to stay and a great boat to party on/ride behind

6Wakesurfers; if you want to escape, Costa Rica is only a couple hours away! ;)

And congrats 2016A22, sweet ride!

Flyzone when you get the A22... I'm coming to wakesurf in Costa Rica. Maybe I can fly down some new surf gear for you? Phase 5, Inland, Victoria?

I've been around Glendo. It's a nice enough lake but I guess that's where we are use to different parts of the country. Glendo is a little lake here in the area I live in. I don't know how the wind blows in the summer around Glendo but in Casper and Rock Springs I wouldn't even own a boat if I had to live there for an extended time. Pretty state but dang the wind blows.
