Same here... I have a 15 T22 that I've run "empty" per the gauge. Filled it up with only 36 gallons. I even went back and checked the specs to see what size tank it had.... says 42 gallons.

Not sure if I had posted this before but my fuel gauge is off a bit too. I show full for a very long time and then when I am about 1/4 full my gauge shows 1/2. I am sure that the sending unit location is probably the reason for the discrepancy. With that said, I am able to run my gauge down til it shows empty and I am still able to start my boat. I have twice filled up my boat with 44 gallons (and it is a 46 gallon tank) and my gauge showed empty. I had no issues starting it when it was very empty either.

Hopefully you do not have anymore issues... but at least now you know a bit more about your capabilities, and when you get very low on fuel and you are not near gas, you now know not to shut down your engine.

The tow of shame. Just plane ran out of gas while pulling surfers. Seems like it went from 1/4 tank bar length to stalling. Little John boat towed me all the way home. Now I know exactly when I need to fill her up.Image
