It definitely won't hinge up enough to be vertical on the A22. At least it wouldn't when I tried it at the dealer. It might open enough to squeeze in a small hand to grab something that's sitting on top, but if you have to do any digging or need to get something out that's not really small, it will need to be pulled out some.

Did you try accessing the cooler with the seat off the cooler or with the seat still on top?

I pulled the seat completely off. That is just one of the dealer's pics I pulled from their website.

That's weird. My A24 and the 2015 A22 both have 102" beams and yet my cooler lid opens almost verticle.

That is weird. Does the A24 have deeper storage? That may make the difference. You can see in the picture that the cooler is pushed against the back of the compartment and the top is pretty level with the lid. I'll be sure to do another test when my boat gets here if no other '15 A22 owners chime in.

It's mentioned at the end of this thread.
http://www.wakeworld.com/forum/showthread.php?t=804459

"We couldn't be happier. With the exception of a very poorly thought out cooler solution in the new A22 (like someone should be fired), I'm not missing the MXZs."

These work awesome if you have a Costco in your area.$20 right now. Grey/Black, Vapor Blue/Grey, Blue/Grey, Orange/Grey, Black/Gray, Gray/Gray. http://www.costco.com/Arctic-Zone-Ultra ... 59618.html

I have that Costco cooler for our on the boat cooler (our boat just has the small plastic drop in "cooler") and it's a good cooler in general.

It doesn't leak or 'sweat' out? We have a soft sided cooler that soaks the floor where it sits, might just be due to it being an older one but that was the main reason I wasn't set on buying a soft sided one.
