Here is a video... This shows better than the pics

The video is prompting for a password.

Saw it once, went back and I get the same password prompt. Good thing you caught it and hopefully a quick fix.

Yea I took the video down at the request of the dealer. They are taking care of it as of now and I am not bashing the dealer or Axis.. as of now it looks to be getting taken care of.

It really looks like the previous owner may have hit the dock a little hard in that area. there is a make there now that the wrap is off.

Happened on my 98 Sportster. Dealer took off rub rail and re-applied the adhesive and rivets.

I was curious if anyone else has had their rub rail off...are the rivets still in yours?? I have holes the whole way around but nothing in them..did they take them out?

That sounds suspicious. The way it was explained to me was that the upper and lower hulls have a flange that overlaps. That flange is sealed with adhesive, then rivets are used to add strength to the joint. The rub rail covers the joint/rivets. When mine was taken apart, the rivets were drilled out, but the dealer replaced them after they applied the sealant.

Yea I asked the dealer if there are supposed to be rivets in there... he wasn't sure and is supposed to let me know. I was very surprised at how sturdy it is when the rub rail is back on. The dealer told me I could drive the boat with no issues until it is fixed

At least your dealer is working with you. That should help ease the stomach

Haha.. I am not to proud to say that my riding isn't good enough to load the boat at 85' yet...let alone doubleups!!

Maybe after ACL surgery in Sept.

Yea, they seem to be stepping up and taking care of it. I figured they would, Gull Lake Marine has been top notch from start to finish. I would def recommend them to anyone.

I would like to know how this happened and if the rivets are supposed to be in and never were or someone took them out?? The way the rub rail snaps on though, I don't know that it would go over a rivet head?
