I actually ended up ordering some transparent blue tape from Tape Brothers and it turned out great. Now my interior lights match my blue under seat lighting and are a little less blinding too. Quick and easy. The tape is meant for marine environments so that's a plus.

Wooohoo! Thanks, that is an awesome find! Damn lights are blinding. Not that I want the ones in the storage areas changed, but definately a few in the open areas! I was thinking I'd need to sand them down to make them opaque to kill the shine but tape is a perfect modification without damaging the light AND we can change the color! One roll of red ordered!

No problem! I meant to attach the link to the wider roll by the way. Just need a stencil and an x-acto knife and you should be good to go.

Why the 2", are the lights bigger than inch? I know it'd probably close...

I double checked and actually did use the 1" roll, it was fine. Those lights are tiny. 2" might be a little easier to work with but not necessary. And your other post was right on, I didn't put the tape on the lights in the storage areas either.

Good call! That should really make things easy, x-acto knife worked fine but was obviously a little more tedious.

Fingernail polish worked well! I haven't tried the tape yet. The only thing about the tape is that the LED protrudes out a bit which might led white light protrude out the sides and if I used tape, will it cover the sides? The polish looks okay .... think my wife might need to redo it! I'd be embarassed to say I got it perfect the first time lol. It did take 2 coats to make it look not so streaky. The glow is red yes, but not like a LED would look like. Not blinding at least!
