I'd be pissed and demand out of the deal IF you made the purchase and then they removed parts off your boat without your permission. I'd sue the crap out of them and maybe get a new boat at cost for the inconvenience

We'll guys...numbers on the engine match numbers on the ECM! I'm not real happy. So I'm calling in the morning to say what I know and give them the opportunity to make it right. I talked to my attorney and if they don't come close to something satisfactory then we sue

Go get them. Does your state have a consumer protection act? You may be able to get your attorney's fees.

question...
I can't take the boat back and ask for a refund bc i'd lose money that way..asking for my trade in cash, interest, payments, ect and then find another boat at peak price time would suck..
so leaves a monatary amount..what do you guys think this is worth?

Id tell them you won't report them to the Better Business Bureau or Axis if they take yours back on trade and give you a new one as an even swap. That way you get a brand new 2014 and you don't get stuck with what sounds like a questionable boat.

Why would you even take delivery? You should have told him you weren't taking the boat until everything was worked out. Possession is 9/10ths of the law.

Lawsuits take a long time, I wouldn't even go down that route. Not worth the time to have the boat just sit and collect dust because you can't use it. If you use the boat during the lawsuit, you're less likely to have a favorable outcome. It's like going to a restaurant, eating the entire meal, then telling the server you want a refund.
