I am with Water...sounds like BS or a bad dealer/salesman. Buy from the dealer that makes you feel like they want your business.
On the other hand, I would definitely sell my boat and buy Chatt's...wish he would have decided to sell it in July 8-)

I would buy used but I am in Canada and we dont have any used Axis boats for sale.

Importing from the USA is a PITA.

where in Canada are you? we brought in a BU last year and 2 Harley's this year no problem.... importing stuff is really easy man and well worth your time for the $$ you save. Only reason I am thinking of buying local is our dealer is pretty cool and his pricing is on par with the US shops

I think you will find this dealer territory issue with all new boats and all the dealers. Dealers are allowed to sell in specified regions and if the customer is out of territory they are supposed to refer the customer to a dealer closer to them.

does this always work out? No.. there are dealers that will sell into another dealers territory and if the manufacturer finds out.. Someone will get a phone call.

If you really are having a problem with the local dealer then contact the factory and tell them that you refuse to buy from your local dealer and see what they say. See if they can work something out for you and maybe they can give the other dealer the option to sell the boat to you.

I bet they would rather work out the problems than lose your boat sale to another company!

I am in Ottawa, Ontario.

A buddy of mine saved a few bucks buying his Wakesetter in the US and it was not as easy as people say it is. He told me all about it and I am certainly not interested in importing.

Does anyone have contact information for Axis? I couldn't find anything so I sent an email from the Malibu website.

Thanks for the PM.

I was able to get in contact with Chris Loomis @ Malibu and this is what he said:
