Anyone with an A22 tried this prop at 3k feet elevation and full ballast w pnp? Curious if it gets out of the hole better than the high altitude prop, I'm looking to get one of these as long as it works better than the 14.5 x 14.25, I'm currently running the 14.5 x 12.75 and have nothing past 35mph

nastya20, what prop did you have before that? the high alt (1235) or core (oj)?

I have the core prop on my a22 with the 335. I have 4k in ballast, no wedge, with full fuel tank and 4 guys in the boat I can barely plane, but the wake is perfect. I am running at gps'd 25.2 at around 3600 rpms (i think, I will check again this week).

I am looking at retiring the core prop as a back up and get the 5 blade IF it will get me on plane the same or better than the core, and if it brings my rpms down. If its the same top end as the core but better hole shot, then thats good too. Don't want to go spend 6+ on a prop that has less hole-shot than my current.

thanks for your help.

I had the standard 537 Acme. I don't have the center sac yet and had a 400 sac on bow. Without the 3 ladies in the front with the 400 the boat wouldn't plane.
I'm going out this weekend and I'll make a top speed run. I'll probably have smaller crew so will run with 750s in back and 2 400's in bow. Maybe a couple videos showing gauges during hole shot and at riding speed of 21-23mph (depending on rider).

Hey nasty could you put down the wedge and get 10 people in the boat, then wrap a heavy beach towel around your air cleaner to kinda simulate the conditions where I'm at, and have all ballast and pnp full, lol no really though see how much that prop will pull up to plane and if the wedge and extra people cause problems, I know your at sea level but I couldn't plane with full ballast, pnp and wedge, 4 people in boat with high altitude prop at 3000'. After I got the 1615-112m I have no problems but I would love to lower the top and mid range revs and if this prop can do that with a holeshot equal to my current prop I see one more blade in my future, maybe

Made it out to Trinity today. I took a couple of quick vids of hole shot and top speed. The top speed was no ballast/wedge. I tested my speed against a garmin 305 edge. Speedo was .4mph higher than gps.
On the hole shot video, I had the wedge down, 2x750's in rear, 2x400's (3/4 full) in bow, 900lbs stock hard tanks full, and crew of 2 friends. Each of us is about 185-210lbs.
Not the best vids, so if anyone wants anything else, just give me a shout. Just trying to help those out looking for an upgrade prop.

nasty, what motor do you have?

I really want to try this prop, but im worried it will not get me out of the hole as well as my core prop with my little 335 motor.

thanks

Johnny-

Ive got the 335. How much ballast are you running? I wish i had a core prop to compare to, but i know rpms and top speed are different.
Anyone have data on weight comparable to mine with core?

I am running 4k in my A22. 19 in the rear, 19 in the bow, and 200 in the middle. No wedge, core prop, full tank of fuel and 4 adults and I can plane, but it takes a little while.

I will have to check my rpms at riding speed and at full speed. I think my top speed is about 34, 35, and my rpms at 25.2 by gps is somewhere near 3500 rpms, but only guessing.
