How is the 5 blade thing working out? I am seeing 98% of the people buying the 2315 and never asking about a 5 blade. I have tried a few 5 blades on an MXZ and I still keep going back to a 2315.

I've had a 5 blade for 1 1/2 years and liked it but as soon as you start adding sacs more than 400lbs to the back it won't plane very quickly without 3-4 people in front. It's a more conservative prop for gas but the 2315 destroys it out of the hole.

my set up is wedge, stock hard tanks, 750's in the rear, 400 under chillax seats 950 arrow sack on top of seats, I agree with everyone that with out proper bow weight you need the 2315 to get planed out quicker, and if your going to ride stacked all the time. however I don't ride stacked all the time, I ride with a little more then stock ballast and wedge and the 5 blade works just fine for me. so it really depends on how you plan to ride. im not big on surfing so im not the person to ask about that but it works just fine when I do surf

I still love that cinco 5 blade for many uses... and many reasons. Main one is how smooth and quiet it is and how great it is on fuel consumption, especially when just cruising around and pulling beginners. I put it on everytime I go to a big lake for a family trip, I can still run my full ballast (4200 no wedge) with a few people in the boat and get up on plane if I choose to ride it this way, but it takes a half minute to plane and rear ballast may need to be dumped for a minute or two.

With that said, look to the Acme 1235 or 2315 (2313) instead. The 1235 does really really well with weight and still has a good top speed. That would be my choice in props unless you plan on running heavy with people all the time. I currently use the 2315. Yesterday I had my normal 4200 lbs, plus the SUMO 800 floor sac (the production one, it is awesome BTW) plus full fuel and 6 dudes 155+ each. We are at at least 1400 elevation. The 2315 got us up in about 25 seconds. We did have to move to the bow a couple times but for the most part, it did it. We estimated total additional weight of ballast and people at 6100 lbs. Needless to say, the wake was insane, my friend who is really good landed his first wtw 900, switch TS 900 on his first try. It was a great day. If you want to run more weight than this, the 335 motor, or the 350 motor is not for you, time to go with the 450.
