my passenger side/right side works intermittently too , I have traced it back to the truck. but if I put plug in and wiggle it normally it makes the connection and works

You can use dielectric grease on your connections to protect from water "damage"

I found out why mine would randomly not work
This connector had a little bit of oxidation around the terminals, I just cut them out and heat shrinked them with butt connectors

To fix your runway lights take out the left rear tail light and check the connector on the brown wire, it's not waterproof and can get corroded over time, clean it up and tape it good and that should fix it, I just hooked my runway lights up to burn all the time
