What's the reason for that change? Will it allow the bag to drain into the tank fast enough to make a difference? With all the above info, it doesn't seem like it should help much since the fittings are still 3/4".

I'm going to have my system setup so the tank is gravity fed from the bag; the 3/4" hose barb half of the elbow has a smaller I.D then the threaded side. So if I increase the I.D of the barb by switching the elbow to a 1"x3/4" it should drain a little faster, I don't think it's going to make a huge difference but it can't hurt and it's a cheap since I'm installing the PnP for the first time and have to buy all new parts anyways.

nice. I think you will see a significant difference in draining with the new elbow. I have to stop draining my rears half way through for a couple minutes because the pump outruns the gravity feed from my sacks. Let us know how it goes...

Will do, but don't count on me reporting back too soon. Last year this time it was in the 70-80s here, but this year winter wants to be a real D-bag.

That weather sucks, I've been going out on the lake almost weekly since Jan 25th.

I see what you are saying now, Evil. That's a good idea.

Thanks for the good ideas. I think I'm going to upgrade to 1" for my gravity feed to the tank too. Was it a task getting the elbows out of the tank?

Thanks but I can't take the all credit, Johnny D gave me the idea.
Ron, it was little bit but not too bad. I did it without having to totally remove the floor in the rear lockers, I think there were only 2 screws that I had to take out then you can kinda prop up the floor a few inches to give the hose barb clearance to spin. Also I installed the new elbows using teflon tape to get a good seal. I'm going to take a look at the bow setup sometime this weekend and see if there is anything worth switching out there, but I don't think so because everything up front has its own pump.

Yea the front fills and drains pretty quick. I'm just tired of waiting forever on the bag to drain to the tank. Even a few minutes faster will make me happy.

I finished installing the PnP in the rear lockers this weekend, I ended up switching out the hard tanks supply 3/4" elbow with the bigger 1"x3/4" elbow. It was a little bit of a hassle because not only did I have to move around the locker floor boards but I had to take the vent elbow off as well to have the clearance to spin the larger fitting. Now that its done, just by looking at it I'm sure the larger drain line from the bag to the tank is going to cut down on draining time.
