Ok guys I am thinking the best day to do this rally is before or after the wakeboard comp held on lake Allatoona on may 18 we could all tie up watch the comp and hang out talk about are boats check out the extra upgrades we done and just have a good time.

What y'all think ???

Just added Axis owner to the club! Our friends just bought an A22 from SMG today!

Will this just be a day get together or a weekend event....? We will have to trailer over so we will be spending the night anyway. Would love to see it turn into a weekend event if everyone could make it work. Are there cabins or condos on the lake close that we could rent...? Just a few things to think about. Really would love to see an Axis group get together each year. Have seen Nautique do this and it really seems like a ton of fun from the pics that I have seen online. They make it a weekend event with dinners and speakers and dealers, etc. Could become a big thing if someone wants to take the bull by the horns. We are in.

I'll be on the water over the weekend. You may want to look at google maps, and visit the marina's website, as they may have a cabin or Camper to rent for the weekend. There is also a Bar/Restaurant very close to where the competition will take place, so you will have a little night life there if your into that.

As for me, I may be able to host a little campfire/drinks at my Camper up on a hill. I'm at flamingo cove, and I got a bathroom in my camper for the ladies, and there should be room on the docks, so I can host, or meet up at that bar for drinks. Not sure what everyone would like to do, but it's an option if anyone is interested.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

Last year SMG had a jetski there and was handing out VERY bright green shirts from it.... So I have know idea what there plan is for this year.

Bama like ga boater said there is camp sits and cabin to rent all around lake my fav is red top mt it's only a ten min haul up the lake to get where the comp is going to be. I am working with SMG to try to get us a banner sign that says Axis on it and for us to all tie up together around sign. I am friends with the SMG wake team and they said if I get a lot of axis together they will come out to are boats and give us shirts hats and other swag. I think it will be a great time for all us axis owner to get together and look at how we have personalized are boats weight are boats and all just hang out and enjoy the comp. I am up for any other idea if you got them

We should def get together...unfortunately or maybe I should say fortunately, we will be in Hawaii the for the week of the tourney. BUT with the gas prices that I am hearing about possibly hitting 5 bucks a gallon this summer, we will definitely be doing A LOT of cove sitting this summer (probably early morn and late afternoon runs this year).
Seth- Is that your boat that is for sale on the classifieds?

No that is not my boat that is one I am trying to sell for a friend

Ok Gang, I am all in as of now.
We are going to trailer our boat over and will come either Thursday night or Friday morning and leave sometime Sunday.
Couple of Questions....
1. What marina do I need to look for? We will be searching for a place to stay.
2. Any ideas on where to stay...? Would like a place to stay where I can dock my boat in a slip for the weekend. Any ideas...? Red Top Mt and Flamingo Cove have been mentioned. As long as I have a safe place to tie up the boat I will be fine. We may even crash in our tent and hit ga_boater up for the restroom. haha.
3. Really would like to stay close to the tournament but realize that all places may be taken or over priced. Where is everyone else staying cause I think it would be great to stay close and all get together for dinner and drinks and hanging out. Just want to be sure that I have a good place to dock the boat. May just bring the Yeti and my pillow.

I am really excited about this weekend with the tournament going on and all of us Axis owners getting together. We could all hook up at the tournament and make a boat train to be remembered for the ages.
Thanks for any ideas on places to stay and ideas on where everyone else is staying.

My son rides INT and I may be able to borrow an AXIS banner from them if we are unable to get one from anywhere else.

Keep me up to speed on things and all ideas and suggestions are very much appreciated.

Bama, I look forward to meeting everyone and seeing everyone's axis!! There are some nice houses that people rent out that have covered boat docks they go for $240 to $300 a night and most of them are located up next to dam which is a 10 min haul to comp. there is holiday harbor marina that has slips and cabins that go for $170 nite and it's just around the corner to the comp other than that mainly state owed camp sites that allow rv and camping. I would start there and see what you come up with need anymore help just let me know I grew up on this lake so anyway I can help just let me know.
