That is a good way to re-do that set-up! Yeah I don't blame you for not wanting to run both pumps every time you want to drain one of the front bag or tanks!

So on my boat we have had an issue with having water auto filling into the front tank and sack. Has anybody else had this issue?! It just seems to fill a little with water when we aren't using the ballast at all. Doesn't seem to have an anti-siphon like on the rear tanks. I saw that some people are having to close the overboard ball valves every time?

Has anybody had this issue as well?!

Same problem I have had, fill everything up, shut all pumps off, pull a rider and then my front bag becomes over full but not draining out the over flow vent, I have to drain it some after each set. Seems like water is coming in as we drive, maybe from fill line, Could the pressure of the water push past the pump and fill the bag? I am going to shut the valve off on the pump after I fill it this afternoon and see if that helps.

I have not experienced this but that makes sense. I just started riding behind my A22 and have all the bags full so I have not noticed that any ballast auto filling past the pumps. I did have a problem with the front pnp bag getting completely full but not overflowing out the hose. I shortened the vent line and I made some cuts into the fiberglass where the vent line goes behind the foot panel so that it was less likely to get pinched and it has been venting/overflowing since.

Does anyone know of any inline 12v electric valves that we can put in line of the fill hoses? I was thinking if i got 4 of them and wired each of them to their respective toggle switch so that it is only open when you toggle the ballast switch to "fill", then it will be closed all the rest of the time and you will not have to worry about autofilling or one way valves. is this possible?

This weekend I'm going to switch the fill and vent hose locations, since the vent hose is under the fiberglass panel, I'm going to route it to the fill port where the air pocket usually is and see if that helps with venting out the big bubble that seems to get trapped under the chillax, we'll see how it goes, here's a pic after moving the hoses, I routed the vent to the rear and under the bag so that it doesn't kink and stop working properly, i'll let you guys know how everything works out

Walter, what is the fix to stop the front Sac from slowly loosing water thru out the day? All others retain water until pumped out, but the front sac has always required 'topping off' thru out the day, as it seems to slowly drain on it's own...

a check valve just like the one you see in the above picture^ will do the trick, if your boat is an '11 model it should have one but you can try moving it from right at the pump to the top of the bag so there is less water pressure pushing back on it

Darth- mines a 2011 and has the check valve just like in walters picture. I have had no problems with my front sack. I think its $12 at wakemakers.com
walt- I am doing the same thing as you this week as soon as my 6' ballast hose arrives. Let me know how this works out.

Also, anyone with a lot of hours on their boats have any problems with holes in the front sack from the chillax seat brackets? My seats have 2 brackets each (total of 4) and the front pnp bag fills and pushes up on the bottom of the brackets, just wondering if I should put something to protect the sacks...

Hey John - I punched a hole in mine from the front brackets. I repaired it with an underwater vinyl pool repair kit from ace hardware. works great. I now always have the seat up when we fill the front pnp.

Same here with a small hole from the flip seat. I also notice when it starts to lose water it also sloshes fwd/back and caused the bow to bounce. I have to keep topping it off to stop the bouncing.

I have been leaving the seats up whenever I fill the middle ballast because of this. Do you think a piece of plastic (like the rear engine walls) put between the bag and the seats would do the trick? Possibly even a piece of plywood but I can imagine that rotting away...

our is a 2010, and has NO check valve that I can see. will have to get one and install it. Which line does it go on? fill or drain line? which is which?

I have not poked any holes in my front sac yet, I noticed the Chillax seat brackets early, so I bought a black front door mat (1/4 "carpet) @ Target and have it neatly fitted on top of the front sac, in that area. The carpet keeps the brackets from rubbing on the sac. A cheap $9 fix for me! 125 hours and counting...
