First a disclaimer, I am NOT claiming that anyone that rides behind my boat is pro level. With that said, I do have a lot of really good talent behind my boat and I have fat sac collection that I want to consolidate/update.

So, my collection of fat sacs includes
(2) red 400# sacs
(2) grey 750# sacs
(1) grey 1100# sacs

Not sure how I want to use these to weight my boat the best for a "pro level" wake. Just want what I need and I'm going to sell/trade the rest.

Besides that collection I also have the 750's in the plug n play in each locker. I'm considering trading the port side 750 for my 1100 so I have surfability and having (3) 750# sacs spares...


I THINK I want to use the two 400's for the bow. One in the hallway and one across the bow width wise.

Then a 750 on the floor, plus people. Or another 400 on the floor plus people... I just don't know. Or trade a 750 for two more 400's and putting 2 400's sideways on the floor?
Is one 750 worth 2 400's to anyone?

definitely try out a bunch of set ups for yourself to see what you like but here is how I have seen some other guys weight their A22's and how I have done mine once. Wake is incredible

I will assume since you have 750's in the rear, that you have the front pnp 950 sack as well. On top of this, put one 750 on the floor against the back slide box seat, then place one 750 across the bow. That will be close to 5k lbs. and most likely will need to dump your ballast and move people to the bow as you plane, then move everyone back and fill your ballast back. wake is so good like this. (if you do not have the front pnp, then throw that 400 across the bow in front of the 750)

Johnny, do you need an upgraded engine to get that weight moving, even with shifting people around like you described?

I guarantee with the weight like he suggests you'll need the LS3, because I've weighted it with a little less weight and I can not get on plane like that, with the LS3. But I've had more than just 3 guys in the boat with more weight overall than that as well...

I think I decided after going out this evening, I want (2) smaller 400's instead of the single 750 though. Anyone wanna trade?

ferral. short answer is yes, upgraded motor would be better. Long answer is I had that same weight as I described in my A22 with full fuel and 4 adults and 2 kids, in 18' of water with my 335 with an OJ Cinco. My driver was dumping the rears as we were planing BUT we did not have to move people forward... I do not have wedge though.

The big motor propped correctly will be able to do it for sure a little bit easier. 2013 has the 1" ballast lines with bigger pumps, so you can definitely dump and fill a lot of water a lot quicker when planing.

Nice to know its an option if I ever want to, I'm also running the 335 with oj cinco. But I'm a long way from needing that kind of setup

off topic but did anyone see the episode of wake bro's that showed a glimpse of how there boat was weighted? they had two 1100 (i think) in front of rear seat and one 1100 and one 750 in the front, plus what ever was in the normal storage areas

Here's how Josh Twelker and Mike Dowdy weighted Josh's Axis before. I can't tell if those are 750's or 400's on the floor? Then that rear most sac is sitting on the seat, anther 750???

Up in the bow looks like a 400 though for sure?

I can't believe that would ever get on plane...
