Weird that the website says you can use it on any surface? Is this stuff like a 303 protectant? If so it wont last long on the hull at all.
According to instructions for use, best results are after 3 coats/applications and then apply every 3 months. I've only applied 1 coat and the water did not bead...it was just flowing or sliding off the side of the boat when it got splashed. I could easily see how this product will not last like a true marine wax but it was so easy to apply and remove. If it lasts 3 months then that's good with me. I prepped my black boat by using vinegar/water mix to remove any old wax or Hot Sauce. Then used a little Lime-Away to remove any water spots the vinegar could not get (under rubrails here and there and I actually used my car creeper to get way under the hull). Followed up the Lime Away in each spot immediately with a quick water hose rinse and towel. After the hull was absolutely water spot free and dry I used the BTS. I used the BTS on Friday and took the boat out for the next 3 days. Used a damp beach towel to wipe the boat down immediately after loading it on the trailer. Used very little Hot Sauce as a final wipe down. So far I am very happy with the results, lll follow up in a month, then two months to share my experiences.
