Hey guys, I seem to have been taking on a fair bit of water into my bilge. Even only after an hour or two. Are there any problem areas i should start looking at? Because i feel like i have looked everywhere. With the ballast filling, motor running, ballast draining. And cant seem to track down the problem. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

check the seal at the drive shaft. I had this problem on my 2011 and the seal was bad. they replaced mine and I never had another issue.

Shaft seal would be the first check. Is your bilge pump coming on?

If you do end up at the dealer to fix this you might consider the dripless shaft seal if you don't already have it.

Yea... The dealer is a 3.5hr drive but walters write up scares me lol. If that turns out to be the case i might give it a go.

Should be ok running like that for now though right? I would be crushed if I couldnt use my boat in the middle of summer.

If you have the generic seal it may be that it just needs to be tightened. I'd also check the prop shaft flange allignment and use a dial indicator off the strut to check to see if it is bent. I'd bet on it just needing to be tightened, but it would be worth checking everything you can.

How's the weather been up there? It's been pretty lousy in June around Vancouver, but next weekend we're off to the Bridge Lakes area so I'm hoping for some sun.

Thanks Dave I will hopefully hit the lake tomorrow and check that seal. hopefully a quick tightening will do the trick.

The weather has been really hit and miss. seems like the good days are GREAT though. already put 30hours on the new axis this year so I must have found some sun. I have never been to bridge lake, I should check it out one day.
