I just purchased a 2010 A22 with 54hrs on it an want to add the ski pylon. The dealer sent me the part but I thought it would bolt onto frame that would be bolted into the boat. The pylon just looks like a 2" ball that you would bolt on to the draw for your truck no framework. I don't know if I need to just drill a 1" hole through where the center cup holder is that plate looks like it would hold the weight no problem or I am missing parts. Can someone help me or send me pictures of your ski pylon installed.

I would like to see some pictures of how that ski pylon Is attached to the boat. Mine is an 09 so I don't have cup holders but it wouldn't be hard to modify the to engine covers to make it fit.

From what I remember 09 & 10 do not have the frame in the back the ball attaches to. Make sure your dealer looks into it.

I just looked at mine a few days ago. the pylon itself is maybe 5-6 inches long and bolts to a frame (behind rear seat). I should be making another trip to storage soon, so I'll snap some pics for ya.

I know that I expected more when I got mine too but it has worked really well on the 2011 A22. It went in right where the center cup holder is and bolted right into place. Took about 5 minutes to install. If you want pictures, I can post some tomorrow.

I've been interested in adding this as well (to an 09). From this thread it seems that there is a bracket that is missing from 09/10 models - viewtopic.php?f=15&t=509&p=4086&hilit=ski+pylon#p4086.

I just installed a sky pylon to my early 2011 Axis A22 which was a little bit of buggering around. Mine also doesnt have the latest cross bracket to fit it in 5 mins. They said to replace the L shaped bracket with the new square shaped one would be around $1000, I refused. So we drilled a hole through the cup holder and cross bracket directly under the cup holder and then got a solid piece of alloy about 8cm wide and 8cm long and drilled a hole through it. Then slotted the sky pylon down through the cup holder, through the cross bracket, through the solid alloy and done up the nut with a washer. The alloy piece sits hard against the L shaped cross bracket to make stronger. My dealer checked it out and is all happy with it. If you would like me to take some pics let me know as this is not hard to do and is alot cheaper.

Yes please, pics would be helpful, also has anyone noticed any stress cracks in the gelcoat where the brackets bolt to the boat on the inside?

Looks like mine was much easier to install than some. I haven't noticed any stress cracks in the gel yet. Hopefully they don't show up...
