Installed a VERY old and long discontinued quicksilver keyless ignition solution. I had a newer round version of this product on my last boat - that saved my starter from my wife's repeated grinding. I missed this and when an unopened one popped up on ebay, I snagged it. I older version is a better fit for the Axis dash:

It auto runs the blower for 3 minutes. Works exactly like the newer (also long discontinued) round version both were a 4 digit pin. Unlike the annoying natique keyless, this does not relock unless you punch in the code. Moderate install difficulty. 8 wires to splice and some dash dremaling. Had to relocate the Cruise button (they are straight, its an illusion because one is tipped forward).

Moved the accessories control (key one click to the left) up to the "Acc" switch just above. I like this better since my wife loves to turn off the boat between riders and that messes with my bluetooth link. If you do go looking for one of these, watch out for the outboard version - it has choke and no blower control.

That is clean looking. Nice job.

That's awesome! So what's preventing the wife from hitting 'stop' between riders?

Nothing stopping her from hitting the stop button - no use fighting her. SO, the stereo, amps, and the bluetooth gateway are on the Acc switch above and not on the ignition anymore. Im good about turning off all the switches and usually the a/b battery switch, but next project is a trickle charger just to make sure I dont kill the batteries.
