My 2010 A22 has the stock option 1 stereo in it. 6 cabin speakers and an amp. Before even picking the boat up I knew I wanted to upgrade the stereo. After two months of research and forum reading I decided to go with an Exile XI12 inch sub, XI 1500 amp, and XM9s and a Harpoon for the tower. I have to say the guys at Exile are great. I have never had such good customer service. I highly recomend getting a hold of Brian or Rob at Exile if you are thinking of upgrading. I cant wait to get it installed.

Now I just need to get the boat from the dealer. The lights I had them install are on back order. Who would have thought 80 degree days in March in Wisconsin. More to come....

Finally got the boat home this weekend! After taking it for a cruise up and down the river got home and pulled out the amp rack to get this project started. Does anyone know the quality of the RCA cables from the factory? They didnt look bad and I dont want to change them if that is the case. Any way more to come.

Looks good! If you can swing it, I'd recommend the new exile eq or wetsounds 420 for some zone control. You'll find that your towers will drown out everything when the main volume is turned up without control over them. I think exile is still offering their discount promo on the eq.

When you install two pairs of tower speakers do you drill two more holes in the tower for the speaker wires?

Should be a total of 4 holes in tower for 4 speakers. the harpoon being a two channel amp will run 2 ohm with 4 speakers. 500x2 or 250w to each speaker (4 total). For that, you'll want to wire the speakers in parallel.

Nice setup. I do audio installs for a living. So if you have any wiring questions I can help. Are you going to run the sub free air? If you can take pictures of your sub install. Im interested as to what everyone is doing. I bought the 2012 sub face for under the steering wheel. I have not built the enclosure I want behind it. I am moving it from under the glove box. A few people on here use EQ's; however, if your amps are wired correctly it would be set up like my boat. My cabin speakers are wired from the output of the sony radio and the towers are on the rear output. I just fade it front or rear. Then you will have the seperate subwoofer level control to.
