I know you guys are primarily surfing so it doesn't fully apply but these are the Gloves
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001MTEPYA/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I use and these are the booties/socks
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017OFQQ4W/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1. You don't really need the socks with good wakeboard boots, but they help during the times really close to ice close/open up here in Wisconsin.
The gloves on the other hand are the best I've found in keeping your hands warm while being acceptably thin. When you wear neoprene gloves while wakeboarding you end up using your forearms way more than you do without. The thicker the glove, the worse this gets, but of course you get better cold/wet protection. I've tried different gloves and these seem to provide the best balance. I'm sure they would do well work wakesurfing and provide you with the best opportunity to move back another 60 feet.
How cold does does the water really get in Texas?
