Well unfortunately for my pocketbook and fortunately for my inner 12yr old that wants to design my own spec boat it looks like I have no other choice but to upgrade this year. As a refresh I'm in CO at 6000ft and my 2016 A22 with the 410 just isn't getting it done. I have exhausted everything I can think of or have learned from you guys (weight/props etc) trying to get this to push weight while wakeboarding and it just can't up this high.

Leaves me in a position where a new boat with a 450 and new trans really are the only solution (I'm too broke to go to the 550 supercharged version as bad ass as that would be)

Leaves me with a choice though now that the pricing I have been given has the T23 only $1000 more than this years A22 (man did the price on the A22 jump this year [emoji20])

Has me really leaning toward the T23 after seeing the surfwave behind some of your boats (Gibbs etc)

Just as a pole of guys who know. All things being equal if you had my choice in front of you are you picking
A) A22
B) T23

T23 all day no matter whether you wakeboard or surf. T23 is only 5" from being a T24 so the cabin space is limo compared to the A22. Once you get you'll wonder why you got the A22 in the first place since they are pretty close in pricing at most dealers. I would ask your dealer for the 450 at dealer cost and not retail.

I demoed a 2016 A22 and T23 back to back (surfing) I'd go T23 without a doubt.

No one else ever said "wish I had a smaller boat" well unless it's a garage thing...

Both boats are great and have lots of wave potential. The T23 is a beast surfing when setup correctly up there with any boat.

I have owned a 2015 A22 and I currently have a 2016 T23. I like the T23 much more with a few exceptions. I generally prefer the look of the A series more but the driver view while surfing on the A22 was pretty bad, bordering on a safety issue as I had to stand a lot of the time while driving. The wave and wake on the T23 is better IMO. The extra space is fantastic on the T23 moving the helm forward and the extra length makes a huge difference. The bow is still a pretty good size. A couple things I don't like on the T23 vs A22. The freeboard/gunwhale isn't as high, not a big issue but a couple things arise because of that. One large cups like the 30oz Yeti don't fit in the cup holders for the passengers it will fit by the driver and in the bow (20oz will fit at the most forward and aft passenger cup holders with some work and people spilling drinks until they figure it out.) Also with the lower freeboard/gunwhale of the T23 affects the tower height/head clearance can be an issue if you want large tower speakers or are really tall. I had no problems with REV410's on my A22 but on the T23 8" wetsounds icon or rev is the largest I can go without hitting my head constantly (I am 5'11".)

Both are fantastic boats IMO and you can't go wrong but if I did it again hands down I would go with the T23.

As for engine I had the 350 in the A22 and I have the 450 in the T23. I am at 200' so elevation is not an issue for me but I was pushing the 350 hard in the A22. I am much happier with the 450. Same prop on both boats.

I wonder what the numbers on the A22 have done in the last few years since the release of the T23. It seems like the T23 has really taken over in that space.

I'm just waiting on a T25 or A26 :)
