Newish Axis owner, 2016 A20. While surfing, sometimes we get beeps. They don't seem to be related to engine oil, temp, or anything like that. By trial and error we figured out that at least the first time, the speed was a little too high and the surf gate was complaining. Then another time I think it was whining because it needed more throttle for the cruise control. How to identify the source of the beeping? I didn't see any readout on any of the gauges. Seems like the beeps were the same in both cases.

Is it beeping or is it a whining sound. I have a whining noise every once in a while behind the dash on the right side. It occurs at certain speed and certain water conditions (choppy or in waves).

If beeping, it's the cruise locking in or out. It's a pain the keep it exact. If there is any advice on this, I need it.

I used to have the same trouble a lot, if it's your cruise control beeping, I found that I had only set the throttle slightly higher than the Cruise set speed, but worked out once it was set to push the throttle a bit further and problem went away.

I hadn't really thought about that with my cruise control. I usually push throttle way down but when I pull my little ones, I slowly move throttle and I get that beeping for cruise control. I'll try that this weekend. Thanks!

I have had my surf gate warning speed beep at me before but mainly right after we take off.

Best practice for using cruise control is to just put the hammer all the way down and let the computer do its thing.

It works on my paddle-wheel, but careful with full throttle it pulls hard and overshoots by a lot. I pull them up and speed up till it beeps then give it some more throttle so it has room to work with.

Mine will overshoot by about a Mph at most... paddle full throttle.
