Hey guys.. I recently sold my 2010 nautique last weekend and plan to replace it Friday.

I have narrowed it down to the 2 boats mentioned above.

I wakeboard 50% surf 20% and chilax 30%

The Axis 2012 A22 is a Vandall with every option but of course no surf system (has a wedge)
The 2015 MC NXT 20 is brand new.. Has a surf gate and other wise doesn't have many options. (I can add them later)

I'm having a hard time making a decision.. Any thoughts?

Are these two boats even remotely in the same price range? What has led you to comparing these two boats?

The NXT is easily a 70k dollar boat.. you can get into a new T23 for that price..

The NXT is likely sub $55k, my dealer here had a stripped version for $58k last year. The on he mentions is a new 2015. They will have to give it away...being 2 model years old now.

The NXT is not a surf boat at all. Especially the 20 footer. The 5 year warranty is appealing and was what made me look at Mastercraft when I was researching to make my purchase.

Yea true.. I was just basing it on what I saw at the boat show but at this point they are probably desperate to sell it.

Spot on guys.. They need to move it.. the 2012 A22 Vandall is 44k and the 15 Mastercraft is 54.. I could also pick up an 2016 A20 for 56k.. and an stripped down 15 A22 for 55k

The Vandall is appealing because of the cheaper price and all options included.

There are a lot of options here and living in Illinois I have to drive pretty far to test each boat. .

Resell is important to me as well.

If you are worried about it holding value I would not buy something without surf technology (be is surf gates or NSS)

If interested I have a 2011 A22 with 85 hrs, tricked out trailer. It has Vandall carpet (not a Vandall edition though). I just finished installing 2 pair of Exile 9" tower surf speakers with Exile amp, Exile cabin speakers, and a custom sub box. It has the heaters as well. Original owner and taken care of. I know you're in Illinois but I'm in Las Vegas and hey everyone wants to come to Vegas!

I'd say get the 2016 A20, you get surfgate and the warranty to boot. Do you need the extra room in the 22?
