My brother-in-law stepped on the tray and it cracked a bit in the corner. Just wondering if anyone knows, other than a dealer where to get one, and how much it costs? Also, any recommendations on some glue that might work. The crack is about 6 inches around the corner. The trey is still strong enough to hold towels and ropes, I'm just a bit worried it might grow and I don't like the thought of part of the boat being broken.

Mine broke somehow on our first outing. They are flimsy and you have to be really careful and instruct all passengers to also be really careful. I don't have a solution, I didn't even call the dealer about it yet. How much is it to just get a replacement from your dealer?

Just got off the phone with them, and it was $130. I ordered it.

I would imagine you could wrap some fiberglass around it and make stronger than the rest of the plastic

Mine cracked and I repaired it with plasti-aid mixed with black paint. My first time using that's stuff and it's awesome. Got it from Amazon. Google it there are videos.

I'm going to have my dad build me an aluminum one. I saw a thread on malibucrew or something about it. Doesn't look too difficult.

IMO the tray is sturdy. Sounds like operator error to contribute to it breaking. It's there for ropes, towels, life jacket, pizza, chicken wings, or any other food to keep warm. People stepping on it though? Should've had the hatches closed first. Just my thoughts, everyone treats their boats differently.

Mine is cracked just for the reason you stated. My friend stepped on it when the locker was open. I wasn't paying attention at the time it happened. He said he would buy me a new on. I am not sure he would expect it to cost $130 though. He did it while pulling my bumpers out of the rear lockers while I was focusing on tying up and driving.

Yeah, it was definitely user error. I think it's pretty sturdy, and you wouldn't want something too heavy back there. I was trying to figure out why ballast wasn't filling and had the back open. I was back up in the drivers seat and he came on the boat and stepped on it thinking he could just walk on it. The good news was he didn't fall into the engine, which would have been much worse.

I spent the afternoon cleaning out my ballast pumps, and am happy to say everything is now in working order. I also think $130 isn't all that unreasonable for something as specific as that.
