So I just got my new A20 and I was told the mirror it came with would need to be screwed into the boat or I'd need to buy some sort of aftermarket mount or arm. Being as this is my first real boat, any suggestions out there? Anyone selling anything or know a good place to buy? Thanks

The OEM standard mirror attaches to the center windshield and comes with a mount. Your dealer didn't attach it for you during prep?

He said he'd attach it but he'd have to drill into it. Which I wasn't a big fan of. Does that sound incorrect?

Does not sound exactly correct to me. I thought the standard was tower mount and then windshield as option? I take delivery of my T23 Friday and I ordered the windshield mount. I am pretty sure my dealer said that it was adjustable and could be moved in various places on the windshield frame. I know you would not have to drill holes to change the location of the mirror.

Incorrect sir. Tower mount mirror is 3-4 times the cost of standard windshield mount mirror which is standard on 90% of the Axis and what almost every in-stock dealer boat has.

Just spoke to the dealer and he said with the mount it comes with they would need to be drilled and tapped into the windshield. So in that case, does anyone have a tower mount they are interested in selling or a windshield one that doesn't require drilling?

Just order a tower mirror from PTM.

My 2016 a20 came with the tower mirror. I'm not happy with it. I have to fold my tower to get the boat into my garage. When I do, the mirror arm sticks straight up. Over 8 feet so it won't fit. I have to take the mirror off every stinking time.

I ordered my 16 A20 with the stock windshield mount. Was planning on making my own purchase of a PTM, but with the drilled holes I am rethinking the change. The stock mirror works well enough for surfing. Haven't wakeboarder yet but can see most of the wake and peripheral area a rider would be in.

My one pain with the standard windshield mount is that it catches the mooring cover every time.
