the 2016 models have the new Axis warranty which from what I understand is twice the warranty they have offered in previous years. I mean, I know you can save a few bucks getting a 2015, but I think Axis is making it difficult for dealers to move leftovers. Not to mention fucking any of us that are looking to sell a 2013-2015 model. I think its great that they are offering a better warranty, which I think should have been offered from day one. And I know there is no easy way for them to make the change but to just do it.. But damn.. A)Makes me wanna get a 2016, and B) This HAS TO screw resale values a bit on pre 2016 models.

Judging by your choice of words...you appear bitter about your choice. You bought into an industry that's ever changing. Sounds like you want a 2016 but can't or really worried about getting out from under your current boat. Did you get mad at car manufacturers as well when they came out with 100,000/10yr warranties and did it screw you on selling or trading in your previous vehicle? You could've bought a different boat with an already longer warranty. You knew what the warranty was when you got your boat...why get mad at Axis?

This is always the case no matter what. I just assume not worry about it and enjoy the hell out of my boat.

Don't most warranty claims crop up in the first few months of owning a new boat anyway? I know there are occasionally boats that just seem to have gremlins but that's not as common as it seems.

When I saw the new warranty I thought it was cool but never thought I'd pay less for a 2015 because of it.

Well I'm about to pull the trigger on a loaded (except engine) A24 that MSRPs for $92k and change.

I've negotiated dealer down just shy of 25% off!! This is a Zero hour boat. Not a demo. Been sitting on the showroom floor since early July.

I'm happily buying a 2015 since I've shopped some of the early 2016's and I can't get to the price point on the specific model and options I want.

^^^damn!!! Way to go man, that will be an awesome boat.

Another reason I think people will chose a 15 over 16 is the old dash looks way better than the new one. Just my .02

Same thing I was able to do.. mine was right at 70k (not fully loaded but everything I wanted)

But the interior cushions are way nicer in the 16s imo.

The new warranty didn't hurt me at all. I sold my 2015 T23 a couple of weeks ago. It was gone within about 12 hours after putting it on eBay. The buyer knew about the new warranty but, I let him know that the new warranty is non-transferable so, that helped his decision. I don't think it will make a difference when selling your boat.
