I've had my new T23 for a few weeks now and have checked my top speed out a few times GPS and paddlewheel it tops out at around 34 mph. That doesn't bother me I didn't buy the boat for speed but I'm wondering if it's correct. I've had many different wake boats in the past and all of them would hit 40 to 43 mph. I have the 350 with a 1235 prop. Does this sound right for the new engine and prop setup?

Didn't they change the gear ratio in the transmission? You might check the tag on the side of the trans case

That's about right. 2313 prop is even worse, closer to 31-32

Sounds about right with the 1.72 gear reduction.

What's your elevation?
The 1235 on my T22 was a dog. The OJ 948 gave me a few more MPH and was a great all around prop. Then I switched to a 2247 since all we have been doing is surfing, toping out around 38 now and surfing around 3300-3500 at 11.0.

I would strongly recommend switching to a 15in prop.
I was hesitant that I would see much of a change but was very surprised once I did switch. The 1:72 needs a 15in prop. I read a lot of guys were running 2249 and got a great deal on a 2247 from dattexasboy. 2247 has more cup from the 2249. All we have been doing is surfing lately and the 2247 takes very little throttle to hit surf speeds. Unloaded we can run 37-39 pending water conditions. 2249 would probably net a few more MPH

I have the factory 2249 at ~1000ft and top speed is ~38-39mph. Works great for surfing/boarding. ~3300-3600rpms depending on surf speed/weight setup.
