Lakes/Rivers in NC

Sup fellas. I just moved to NC. Looking for some good water near me. I'm located in Fayetteville but willing to drive far if the lake is worth it. I went out to Jordan Lake last weekend and it was ok but like all other lakes it was choppy as all hell, and also I didn't see a restaurant to relax and grab a beer at, on the water. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Shearon Harris Lake is probably a little closer for you and has some decent coves. Most of us in the Raleigh area go to Falls Lake. If you stay on the south side you can usually find good water in the coves. None of the lakes in this area will have restaurants or houses on the lakes. It's all protected land. If you're looking for that kind of thing you might want to head to Lake Norman in Charlotte.

No problem.....you'll see a lot of Axis boats out there too. Upper Barton Creek boat ramp is free, but it can get pretty busy during the afternoon.

I'm on Jordan lake just a stone's throw closer ...... Stay on dam side main lake is crazy you can put in at poe's creek boat ramp ( I think that is the name) let me know if you ever decide to go to Jordan I'll tell you where we hang out and wait for calmer waters

Went to Jordan Lake today and checked out the dam. Had a blast!!! Thanks for the info amsugg

nice bro, ill post up where i normally hang out, there are about 3 to 5 people that normally hang out together, im in blue axis, also yellow malibu, white and blue G23 with 6 speakers (there are two but only one with 6). depending on time of day you can either run the run in front of dam (horizontal) or the big run directly in front of dam (perpendicular). there are many other places obviously but i can tell you about them later if you want

names Drew, won't be out this sat but might be out sunday .... depends on the wife

Awesome man! Yea that's exactly where I was riding and also the hangout spot you labeled is exactly where I anchored and chilled. I'm sure I'll see you out there brotha. I have a green/black A22 and the name is Erik.
