I know there are a lot of prop threads on this site. I just have a direct question. So I have a 2011 A22 with the 335 engine. I just purchased the bow sac and two 1100 pound sacs for the rear. I normally take my boat to Shasta Lake in California, but I do sometimes use it in my home town, which is about 4,000ft elevation.

I am looking at two different props: The Acme 2315 or the 2419

I could care less about top speed. I just need which ever prop is going to launch the boat the best.

Which one is best for me?

Thank you,
Brandon

2419. With that said, at 4000' elevation you are losing about 40hp from your 335 motor. I would be impressed if you get your boat on plane with all your tanks full, the 1100's, bow sack, friends, and wedge. It will struggle no doubt but you might want to try without wedge first.

I am at 810' of elevation with the 2315 and mine won't plane with 900lb rears full, wedge, and front sac and all stock full with the same engine. If he is looking for it to plane with full ballast and wedge down, he may want to look at 600s or 750s.

Dezul, do you have an extra 650-750lb sack on top of the bow seats when you try to plane? It will most definitely help.

I regularly boat at 3500' and run 750s in the rear, 950 under the front seat and wedge and I can plane. It doesn't happen fast but does happen. I am running the 2079. My dealer has had pretty good luck with it as well. Top speed is about 36 mph

I agree, when I had my A22 and 335 it would struggle some with full 750's, wedge, bow sack, tanks, 5 crew, and even 400 extra sack on top of the bow seat. I was using the 1235 though. The 2079 is the 14" version of the 2315 which is 15". Both are great props.

For the 335 it will be the 2079. It is the smaller of the two which makes it easier for the motor to turn but has a more aggressive cup if I remember right.

Tried that. I almost patatoeshack'ed my boat. Way too dangerous for me to try again.

Hey Dezul, What did you try and had issues with your boat?
