Hello All,
Well I've decided on buying the new 2015 Axis A22 but Im a first time buyer who doesn't want to be taken advantage of at the dealer. I know there are several options which can be added on to the boat for a higher cost.

My question is: What options are a must to have, which are nice to have and what options aren't needed.

I will be wake boarding and wake surfing.

Also Im not looking to spend more than 70k hopefully.

Any help and wisdom you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!!

Swivel Racks
Bimini
High Alt Prop
Sound Pack II
Plug n Play (with the sacs)
pop-up cleats
surfgate
seat bolster

that is a pretty good base list of options

I know someone will definitely have a different opinion than me on this but one of the best options I DIDNT want but my dealer threw in at no charge is the 2nd track fin. yes you don't need it and I didn't want to pay for it but now that I have it I wouldn't order another boat without it. the boat handles soooo much better than without it. I cut really hard when I ride and having the second fin keeps the boat from "rolling" to the side. if your on a small lake you will enjoy the crazy sharp turns you can make without even leaning the boat over. When it comes down to it its only like a $200-250 option and that's nothing. to add it later would be big bucks. seriously one of the cheapest upgrades to make the boat easier and fun to drive.

other items: if your thinking your just going to add them later just get them now. you will pay the same price for aftermarket racks, heater, etc. your basically not being charged to install anything at this point it just paying for the parts and its all high quality. some people prefer different stereo options and that's an area you can skip if you want. im no audiophile but I like good sound, I added up all the parts for sound pack 3 and I couldnt even buy the parts for less than they wanted not to mention install and wiring.

Agree with boardjnky. You can save a little money by going with fixed racks. I personally couldn't justify paying any more for racks (fixed racks are already pricey), but considering swivel racks on my next Axis. Hearing music while wakeboarding is important to me, so SP3 is a must. If I was more savvy with audio installs I would probably try to save money and just do it myself.

I think the more expensive options are SP3, Z5 bimini, tricked out trailer, tricked out gel scheme. Also, if you tow a lot you may want to add the spare tire option.

Is the Sound Package 3 worth it to add it into the boat price or should i buy it seperate so i dont pay interest on it from the boat loan?

Is the z5 bimini worth the upgrade over the regular bimini?

Also how about the boat flooring?

Fusion mat vs carpet vs decadence?

I have three kids so easy cleanup and juice spills are things to consider.

I would also add the second fin. I don't have it and after talking to several Axis owners, I wish I did have it.

I would get:
minimum 350 engine
at least one set of swivel racks. They aren't that much more expensive and are great racks. You'll definitely want the boards out of the way with three kids! ;)
the tower mounted rear view mirror
second fin
wedge
surf gate
interior LEDs for inside compartments
additional rear and front ballast
I'm sure theres others but these come to mind as musts for me

Forget the Z5 bimini top. You don't need it, and the factory one is just fine (if you want to stay $70k or below.. Its expensive!)

Get the stereo pack three I guess, but it'll drive your price way up. There is lots of good stereo stuff on the market and you way want to contact
a good local marine stereo place and see what the difference would cost. You gotta have a nice stereo with a nice boat!

Wedge, surfgate, SP3, swivel racks (should only be $250-$300 more than fixed and look tons better), deck-trac since you have kids, tatami mat or decadence since you have kids, 2nd fin, do king lights (if you are out past dark (they are amazing at lighting up the ramp and trailer), I'll always get a Z5 for my boats just because it looks way better than the stock bimini (IMO the standard bimini looks like a big ugly spoiler on a boat), 350 motor, prop wll depend on your elevation you boat at, spare tire, upgraded trailer wheels but not the tricked out trailer, metal flake, metal flake, and more metal flake.
