I have read various posts on the Axis sound packs.
I have placed the bots order and currently selected sound pack 2.
So many people seem to say only go for sound pack 3?
Even though it may now be too late to change, but can anyone with sound pack 2 comment on if they are pleased with their choice, what the sound is like at the wake (if you can hear it!)
Is it easily zoned so the tower speakers. Are loud and the boat speakers can be lower sound etc?
Any comments or thoughts would be great
Or would the extra 1500usd including the white option cost be justified as I'm finding it difficult?
I also see more head clearance under the tower with sound pack 2?

Sound pack 2 is garbage. If you turly want sound quality go with pack 3 or build your own.

To your original question - yes you can hear it wakeboarding, but it sounds like regular coax speakers cranked up and screaming. There is not a way to turn them up and the boat speakers down unless you get an EQ or mess with your amp settings.

The extra 1500 is not worth it to me. I spent 1800 total on 2 exile amps, 2 exile tower speakers, 6 interior speakers and a exile sub.

Sounds great and I can control the towers.

Just my .02

You might get a couple inches of head clearance with SP2 towers vs SP3 Wet Sounds. The sound quality is much better with the Wet Sounds and there's no comparison at the wake at 70-80' back. You'll struggle to hear SP2 clearly (but would be just find for surfing needs). You can fade the tower from the cabin speakers separately on the stock radio with both choices. SP2 is still a nice package overall but most who get it will upgrade more. My friend has SP2 in his A22 before he got his Malibu LSV. It was plenty good for listening to floating or at the beach but you'll need an EQ and a custom sub enclosure to get it really good.

From the factory it's wired to adjust tower from cabin using the fader feature in the stock headunit...so in essence yes you can turn up the towers and down the cabin.

That's what I do when riding, usually fade completely to rear and have only the tower on so the driver doesn't get blasted by the interior speakers

i opted for SP1 and did the rest on my own.

Added amp rack, 2 wetsounds amps, Skylon towers, wetsounds in boats, 12" phoenix gold sub, ws420 for control.

I have been in one with SP3 and it was alright...but you will probably end up upgrading down the road (I knew i would at least) so i opted for the least expensive option.

I think the SP2 is a good system, can't understand those who say "it is junk". Plenty loud enough and clear enough for me...but I'm an old man, so maybe that's the distinction!

I agree, it's plenty good. All it needs is an EQ, a custom sub enclosure, and a good tuning then it's good to go

Alright. My 2 cents for what its worth.
I have the SP3 and absolutely love it. I have not heard the SP2 so I really cant compare the two. I will tell you for a fact that there is absolutely no problem hearing the SP3 when you are wakeboarding. Actually there is no problem hearing it a 1/4 mile down the lake either. Is it too loud....? Well maybe for some, but I love it. Was it expensive.....? Yes, but it was already on the boat so I just went with it.
Make sure your gains are set right and that it is hooked up right. Mine was not from the factory and my dealer straightened it all out for me for no cost.
With that being said, what would I do if I had it to do again...? Probably so since I am the kind of guy that wants it all hooked up and ready to go without having to worry about things. However, if I was an electronics guy or had a good friend that was I would probably opt to build it myself and save a lot of money.
