So this winter my wife and I added our newborn daughter to the posse...she'll be 4-6 mo old once we were on the water and I was curious (having never brought a baby) if anyone had creative ideas?

I found someone who basically makes a PFD that's a shaded car seat.....but can't find where the hell to buy one

Cool idea...but assume I'm going to end up fitting a regular infant life jacket if I can't get an answer back

Congrats on the little one Ron! My wife and I are in the same Boat..... (get it? boating pun! Hi-hooo)

Our daughter just tuned 6 months last week and we bought her this

http://www.wakehouse.com/products/hyper ... acket.html

It seems to fit her well and she doesn't mind wearing it at all.

That lil Duck seat looks like a good idea, I would just be worried if it flipped or landed in the water baby face down.
keep us posted if you hear back.

Went through that with both my kids. We always just used a standard infant vest with someone holding them the whole time. Seemed to be the only way to be comfortable in those vests and they pretty much slept the whole time.

+1 for the vest. We also take the Moses basket to lay them in when we're stopped for lunch or if the other kids want to swim or float around the boat.

Infant on board? Seems like an expensive way to get additional ballast, but with proper training it can be placed fairly accurately with voice commands.

But be sure to share reviews/experiences. I need more ballast and wife is bugging me about starting a family so I might be in your shoes soon. I guess its a win win?

Hahah, absolutely it's a win win! I'm really hoping to get my 4 yr old to come out with me on the surf board this year, or even her own wakeboard. She mastered the ski trainer last year, so fun to see them excited about this stuff.

The lil duck is designed to right itself if dumped upside down....I bought a vest already but pegged some folks on the forum for being more creative

You guys let me down! Hahaha. I'm thinking some hybrid car seat hanging from a bouncy chord from the tower? May get in trouble for that one.
