Knowing what you know now...would anybody upgrade their motor if they were ordering a new boat?

I have a 335 for the second time in my A22 and it might be nice to have but not sure it's worth the money.

I'd love to have the ls3 in mine after hearing the brostock boat, it sounds amazing, the extra power would just be a bonus, but I do hear they use a bit more fuel.

The added price is a bit steep though.

The 5.7 and 6.0 have almost identical torque curves until the very top end... but the 6.0 is a much more pricey motor so personally if my choices were there I'd always stick with the 5.7.

Now an LS3.... That would be nice but not really needed in any thing but a totally slammed A24. We've had the A20 loaded to the rafters, plus wedge and never had an issue with planing. One of the joys of a properly engineered hull design! :-)

I agree with what's said here. I'd love an LS3 if cost was no issue, but with the 335 I plane fine with 4300 lbs + wedge + 3 people. Planning on adding more weight up front this season as well. With the right prop, the 335 does a great job, and I don't think I could justify the cost of an ls3

I would love an ls3 as well but 9grr is more than I can spend on it. Axis has a great price on that ls3. We looked at MB and it's a 15k upgrade on their boats.

I have a new a22 with the LS3. It was a bit for the upgrade. I noticed when the boat is fully slammed it makes a huge difference. In my family we ride a lot and with the upgrade on the motor I hope to save in fuel. I figure with a big motor the boat isn't working as hard. Plus it sounds really good
