Anyone had any trouble with their FAE slipping out of position? Mine went about a week and then slipped back about an inch.
This is the second time it has done this and I am afraid it I go any tighter with the hose clamps they are going to break. I think I am going to pick up some T-Clamps today and see if they will hold it better.
Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Jason

Did you contact the people at FAE for advice? I haven't worked with them myself but I've read many times over the years that they are extremely helpful.

I've had mine on my A22 for two yrs without any issues and on my moomba 4yrs prior to that without a problem. Call Larry Mann the owner at 512.647.7321 He's very easy to work with and should be able to help u out.

Thanks for the tips. I called Larry and he said they have seen this and the T-Clamps don't hold any better.
They are now using a small stainless screw through the hose clamp and the pipe to keep them from slipping. Will work on it tonight and report back.
Thanks, Jason

I threw away the clamps with the FAE and went with the t-bar clamps from the start, no problems with mine but I've only been in the water three times with it so far.

No, I went to a hydraulic hose shop and took the pipe with me so I would be sure to get the right size, I'll check tonite and see if its on the clamp anywhere, You did assemble it dry? Any type of lubricant will cause it to not hold and may slip

Yes dry both times. I think I will just take Larry's advice and throw a stainless screw into to prevent it from happening again.
Thanks

I'm now having this issue.....not using t-clamps though. Ill probably go that route.
Mine came last week with a screw through the single pipe piece....but that didn't stop the unit from rotating on the sides (with both clamps cranked down hard)

I put stainless screws in mine and used it all weekend with no problem.
