Do you guys ride with the wedge down for wakeboarding?

I have the factory and PnP filled, but haven't used the wedge since day one. Any thoughts on if we should start using it again? What do you think it does for the wake shape/size?

Wedge for wakeboarding, no for surfing.

if we have a lot of weight in the boat ballast/passengers we don't use the wedge the wake is great without it. if we are riding empty it seems to make the wake better. it's all personal preference.

HERE - no wedge for surfing, but always for wakeboarding...I did it once recently with out by accident. Its nice, but I would estimate 20% less kick vertically.

I vote no wedge. I ordered mine without the wedge because I like the shape with ballast weight only. If all you are going to have is the stock ballast and stock pnp then I would ride with the wedge.

went riding with pro taylor ewing today and with the wedge down, you can see a big difference when he rode. we only had ballast and 4 people in the boat. Last weekend i had 10 people in the boat and the wake was fine without the wedge. then again there was a alot of wait spead across the boat.

Cool. Going out for a long training session today. Just three of us. Going to try the wedge. Going to try a helmet too, I crushed my head on a 3 attempt catching my back heel edge on the lip. Woke up dizzy :(

Um, I'd say helmet is good idea. Need one for the house after a few beers.

I prefer the wedge. We load ours down to the point of not planing if we add anymore weight. Wake is just huge and shaped awesome.
