Pricing a new A22 dealer asked about colors. I really like a Black/Red or Red/Black but am worried about the black being hot to the touch.
First post so I apologize if it has been covered. Tried a search and didn't come up with anything.

I have a black and vapor blue A22 and live in Texas. It gets pretty warm but no one is burning themselves on it. Honestly though, why would anyone need to touch the gel coat anyways? I often rest my right on the gel when driving in the Texas summer and no issues. Get the black if you want it.

Doesn't get hot, only problem is I have to wipe it down with boat bling every time out for water spots and it shows scuffs from surfing etc probably more than a white boat would.

Agreed with all of the above...I have the Black/Red. The Tatami mat burns my feet before the black sides do, but I also have the black "grip tape" protecting anywhere you would step on the sides and it does not get really hot at all. The only negative with the black is that it shows everything!!! Every scuff, scratch, and water spot, but when it is clean, it LOOKS GOOD!

Get a black boat if you are anal about your expensive toys...get white if you're lazy. The water spots will still be on a white boat but it takes a little longer for them to dull the look of the boat and by that time you'll need to cut and polish to get them off.

Good call on the black and red, it's what I have and I love it, can't miss it on the water. Fact is they all get hot, sure black gets hotter than light colors but splash some water on it and it's not bad, just make sure you have light colored interior to save your ass. Cleaning on the other hand is certainly a little more intense, but it sure cleans up like a whore in a new dress!!

Sent my deposit in this morning. A-22 Black with Red Accents, White interior with Red Accents. Moving into the A-22 from a Mastercraft prostar 190. Excited doesn't begin to describe it.
