Where can I get the best price on some Wet Sound tower speakers? I would like to replace my factory speakers.

Buy Wetsounds Speakers

I'd recommend hitting up the boat show down there and see what kind of deal you can dig up!! Most of the time you can get a hefty discount if you purchase a complete system versus buying a piece at a time, just start poking around and I bet you can strike up a good deal.

I second walter on this one. You are going to want to speak with a local dealer on a big purchase like this. With the merchandise advertising agreement most websites have they won't be able to advertise much off the retail price. Your best bet is to speak with someone local for your best deal. Plus you will always have the support from them if something happens to your equipment.

Shoot Chattwake a note. He's got a guy who hooked me up for a lot less than I expected.

I've seen boat dealers at boat shows having huge discounts. You won't find much of a discount through marine audio shops or online retailers on Wetsounds.

Thanks Guys, I did hit up the Atlanta boat show before posting this. I only found one vendor selling the wetsound speakers. The only price he could give me was a price on the REV 8 $699. Would 2 REV 8 out perform the factory tower speakers. I would like something that has some midrange to them. I see Chattwake runs 2 Pro 485 that might be a bit much for me. Any input or expertice would be helpful,

I swapped out 4 stock mtx tower speakers for 2 Rev 8s with the intent on picking up 2 more revs. I was blown away by how much better the 2 revs were than the 4 mtx's that I haven't picked up the others yet. The range and audible distance is absolutely incredible.

Yeh, IF you have the MTX towers, one pair of Rev 8's will blow them away in every aspect. What's the other tower speaker option...Alpine? Even so, one pair of Rev 8's would be much better. However, IF surfing is going to be your primary activity, you DO NOT want HLCD speakers that are designed to project sound 80+ feet back. They will be overpowering and too bright at the short surfing distance behind the boat. You'd probably want a Wet sounds speaker that provides a more full range, warmer sound (plus you wouldn't be killing the ears of the passengers in the back of the boat). Just a thought.
