I ordered an A22 a few weeks back and the spray date is scheduled for the 6/7 of April. I asked my dealer if he could request some build pics and he told me the factory was not doing that anymore. However, I saw a build pic from April 1st on the @Axiswake twitter feed. How can I get in touch with Axis customer service directly to request some build pics.

On another note.... I am stoked for my Axis to arrive.... It is just starting to warm up in the Washington DC area.

Your dealer was correct. Due to being overwhelmed with orders for both Malibu and Axis, the plant is full of boats and staff members trying to keep up. Axis or Malibu marketing tweeting a photo is different from someone following each days production schedule, finding the boat, taking photos of it and keeping them all straight. :)

I'm sure it will return as things get back to an even keel, but for now I don't expect it to be possible.

Would you mind if I ask when you ordered exactly? My dealer is claiming he doesn't have a spray date when I ordered on March 1st. He is being a little shady...

The spray date I was told was the 7th of April... I think I finalized my order around the 20th of March or so .... My dealer already had a spray date for a boat he was planning to sell as dealer stock. He was able to update the options and give me that spray date.

I have heard that they are slammed trying to build what has already been ordered... another guy on this forum was recently given a spray date of June 2.

That was me, but I think the same thing applies to my dealer, as well. I'm speculating, but I think he was either getting another boat to put on his lot, or he started laying the ground work before I "officially" ordered the boat. He said a few things that gave me the impression that that may be what was going on. I should note, however, that before I ordered mine, the lead time was estimated to be 6-8 weeks, but teh actual will be closer to 12.

If you don't mind me asking, when did you officially commit to ordering the boat?

It was near the end of March. Don't recall exactly, either late in teh week around March 24/25, or early the following week, March 29/30? I toured the plant on 4/1, it was a short time before then.
