Yes the new platform starts on 2012 models. But if you get a good enough deal on an older one, you could possibly order a new platform and still come out ahead.

I was quoted more than 1k for the platform with shipping. So yeah it could be an options. And then there is the new vinyl that should be more durable... So many boats, so many options and tight budget don't mix together :-?
