Hi Guys, long time reader, first time poster after picking up my new Axis Vandall Edition a month ago.
We have noticed when all tanks and sacs are full and wedge down running at around 23mph we get some bounce. Also happens when all tanks and sacs are drained with wedge up at around 30mph.. does anyone have ideas or pointers to fix? We were thinking extra weight in the front?
Cheers

What are the water conditions like? If it's near white capping you will get a little slap but for the most part it should be pretty smooth. The only time I notice my bow moving a bunch is when the wind starts to pick up.

Should of put that part in, it happens on smooth flat fresh water which is why I'm bit concerned

Your porpoising you experience usually is due to too much rear weight. What is your weight set up when your tanks and sacs are full? Depending on what you have in the rears, you may need weight up front when using wedge to keep it from porpoising.
As for the empty ballast, no wedge, smooth surface porpoising.... that is no good. That shouldn't happen. What prop? How many occupants and where are they sitting?

That's weird.... I've had 7 people riding in mine all behind the windshield and never noticed any bounce.

No porpoising on my 2011 A22 ever no matter what conditions. Sounds like you have your weight distributed weird.

Have you checked your speedo? Only time I have noticed the bounce like your talking about is with wedge down and higher speeds. I know some people have had to calibrate the speedo to a GPS. Just a thought.

Agreed, I only get some bounce when my front bag secretly drains back though the fill line and have way too much weight in the rear.

Thanks guys, tried over weekend with extra 250kg sac in front when boarding and left some water in the front sac only when going back to the ramp, worked a charm. No more bounce!
