I set up the camera in the upside down mode so all the pics and videos come out right side up, the video is as smooth as you could ask for, I use the lcd bacpac to get the angle adjusted then I just switch it out for the extra battery after I get it set.

Here's my flag pole, used another mtx mount butted up against the top Bimini mount, then used a few washers to space it away just a little, this is gonna sound real redneck but it really looks good and was cheap and easy,... I went to the truck stop and picked up a 48" black fiberglass CB antenna and mount for 20 bucks, then I just used the same nut and bolt that held the speaker to the clamp with a few washers and it goes on and off with the twist of a few screws, my wife made fun of me for doing it but after she saw it mounted on the boat she loved it,(I think she thought it would look like a Pete with the antenna and couldn't picture it with the flag)

Since I switched to rev 10's I got the swivel clamps and the allen wrench that fits the clamp also is the same size as the bolts on the mtx clamps, I took an old T handle allen and put heat shrink all over the metal parts except for the last 1/4" that way it can stay in the boat and has less chance of rusting or scratching anything, I break down the tower and remove the flag pole every time out due to the long drive.

here is a time delayed shot, you can pretty much get the whole boat in one shot, just flip the camera around and shoot, here is another video for an example,
https://vimeo.com/51333160

excuse the popping, I need to spray some wd40 on the swivel where the rope attaches, I think it was dry, and pay no attention to my poor slalom skills, that was the first time on one of those skis since I got the boat, been about 3 years, and after watching the video I called my wife a noob and told her never to power turn again, unless I was drowning, she promises not to.

I like the flag pole! Is the go pro mount also homemade?

Sorry I missed the part about the go pro mount I only saw the flag pole mount. That is a great idea I like it. Just waiting to see if I get a z5 before I mount the go pro I might mount it to the cargo rack if I decide to go that way.

Thanks for the great write-up! The CB antenna was a great idea. What keeps the flat mounted to the antenna though without it sliding up?

i really like the tripod mount i forget what the size and pitch of the threads are but with that mount all you need is the correct lenght bolt and you can bolt your gopro to what ever you want

What type of MTX clamps are those? Do you know if they still for sale as an accessory? I'd like to mount a flag on an A22 similar to yours.

Thanks for sharing!

They're the mtx clamps that came on stereo pack 2 for the 2010 tower speakers.
