We all had a lot of options out there. You could purchase a new Malibu v-ride at this price point, a used Nautique, even a Wakesetter. What guided you to look at and purchase an Axis? (Beware Axis marketing team the following information could be useful)

I'll go ahead and start to get things rolling.

I looked at a lot of wakeboard boats. I looked at price, function, style and overall value. My lake might as well be Wakesetter headquarters... They are everywhere. I wanted to be different. I wanted a boat that people had not seen a lot of, but when they saw it they would want to know more. Every stop on the way to the lake will prompt a handful of questions from people admiring the appearance of the Axis. Sound pack 3 was a must, white tower was a must, tricked out trailer, the list goes on and on but I found my dream boat that I get to drive every summer. Keep it up Axis you have a strong fan base here!

great question. many many answers, but the main one is that I LOVE an 05-08 VLX slammed with no wedge and I could basically get the same wake with a brand new Axis for the same price as a used VLX of those years. I also can hide a lot more ballast in the bow than the VLX, which is what steered me away from a new Vride that was $5k+ more than a new A22.

Pretty much the same reasons you listed. I like the uniqueness of the boat. I turn heads and get comments almost daily when on the water. I dont even have it all tricked out. Love this boat!

First reason was because the Axis makes a clean wake at 17-18 mph and I wanted my girlfriend to have a good clean wake. For me I wanted a clean wake down to low speed to learn tricks plus a boat that was not weight sensitive side to side very much. Secondary was being made in the Malibu plant I knew the hull would be solid in construction. As mentioned, the Axis is not a boat seen everyday on the water and just looks nasty (in a good way).

Love the looks. Wasn't a huge fan of some of the interior (vinyl) when I first looked at them and ended up buying a Supra. Sold it after the all of the changes they did in 2011. Axis continues to evolve (as does the starting $$$) each year adding nice touches.

The space in the bow and cabin area. The scalability of the wake and how easy it is to clean up, the way it handles and the price to get a new boat with a warranty backed by malibu.

The main deciding factors for me were

1. The price, I couldn't find a well equipped new boat for the price I was able to get on the 2010 A22.
2. The snap out carpet option for easy clean up.
3. The amount of engine compartment space makes it easy to access and work on the engine.
4. The scalability of the wake. The plug n play option really made the wake super adjustable.

Of course there are lots more that I love about the boat but those 3 really helped me pull the trigger on axis.

The price and the quality are second to none.
Axis has a timeless design and looks unique. Definitely turns heads.
Plenty of available options to build the exact boat you want.
And...the WAKE!

The question should be: Why not?

For me, it was the wake first, then styling and price. My wife loved the fact that most I the time, all the ballast is hidden under seats or in compartments, no filling sacks on the seats
