I am torn on adding GatorStep to the top deck areas of my 17 T23. I love the product and am already installing it on the interior and replacing oem platform areas. My wife says she has no opinion but I know she is not a fan bc she loves the clean lines of a basic white boat with charcoal accents. She is afraid it will “junk” the boat up and make it less appealing to her but that being said she is the one who wanted to replace the interior. I am torn if I like the look of the top deck area but I do like the idea of a non slip surface when putting boards on the Bimini and as added protection for when people are dragging their gear in and out of my boat as I am already getting faint scuffs and scratches on the deck areas. Thoughts and or photos would be awesome.

I got in on a group buy for Gator step for my 17' a20. I should have it in a couple weeks, still waiting on the proofs. I did my entire boat other than the floor. I like the decadence flooring. Im in the camp that says it "adds" to the boat. I like the look. But if you want protection on the deck surface and the clean look why not go 3m clear bra material. Would be an easy project and if you dont like it you're not out a bunch of money.

+1 for gator step. Looks sharp especially if you pick your colors complimentary. Protects the boat and makes it safer. My oem swim decking is starting to peel up. Can’t wait till the end of the season so I can swap it to gator step.

I have a full top deck kit ordered for my 18 T22, should have it in a couple weeks. It will be the sharkfin and black lines to match the Gator factory flooring.

I went with cascade, it will also include the vent pieces to replace the factory black ones.

Wife broke both bones in her leg just above the ankle stepping from dock into the bow. Ruined her year! She has not put her foot back into a ski binding since. We used to like the clean lines of a well waxed boat, but now we love the look and feel of Gatorstep. My boat looks just like r33pwrd's boat above, except I only did the bow and sides. If I had known how much we would love it, I would have done it when we bought the boat. It is super comfy on the feet.

File comment: Wish we would have had the GatorStep sooner to prevent this!
